I am left speechless by the number of important things this essay addresses.

Thank you so much for writing and posting it.

FYI, just posted this on my FB page

So. Whether I like it or not, whether The Collective You like it or not, whether the organic We All like it or not, and certainly whether the Democratic National Committee likes it or not, this woman, Marianne Williamson, is going to announce another run for the American Presidency. She's going to do it from Union Station in Washington DC, where she made a home for herself last year because she's not done with this POTUS thing yet.

Last week I said I'll be writing about what this means to me, as someone who has read virtually all of her books and who has looked to her for perspective on the politics of this nation in the past. That said, don't mistake me for a dewy eyed fan of a Spiritual Celebrity. Adoring her is anathema to me, and to her as well.

I'm someone with what I believe to be a complicated history with her word work and her politics, someone who supports her RIGHT to enter the political arena if she feels strongly called to do so, even though I may not want to consider her for this particular job.

I do subscribe to her Substack page, and I do read most of what comes across her social media (FB in particular). Sometimes I encourage and praise her, sometimes I confront her - harshly, perhaps too harshly. That's because she means something to me, something that opens my mind, and more importantly my heart.

I'm sharing this essay with all of you because I believe this man has something of value to say about the nature of the resistance Marianne has faced since she decided to become more openly political in life. Marianne has never played small - not once in her life - so it isn't surprising that her political aspirations would take her to the top of the mountain, so to speak, in American politics.

Before you dismiss what she's about to say next weekend, I invite you to consider what this man, a practicing trauma therapist and long time friend of hers, has to say about her - and us - and this moment in American political thought and spectacle.

His words caused me to think about my interest in and aversion to Marianne's upcoming political campaign in some interesting ways. I hope it gives you some good food for thought as well.

Excellent post, perception and perspectives on Marianne and others trying to make a difference--being resisted by either the status quo or fear. This old way of thinking can and must change in order for us to evolve as Homo sapiens! Good work Joe Bolduc!
